We're honored to share that 337 Magazine ran a feature on Thibodeaux's ahead of our opening — "Thibodeaux's Brings Cajun Cooking Back to the Former Original Patti Space."
The piece traces our family's roots in Acadiana food: my father Troy Thibodeaux's years at the Winn-Dixie on Moss Street and the specialty meat shop he opened in the early '90s, and my grandfather Rodney running the Winn-Dixie in Breaux Bridge before that. Barry and I grew up in Carencro and Church Point with this food, music and culture as everyday life, and the article captures why bringing the Thibodeaux name back to Pont des Mouton means so much to us.
It also tells the story of the room itself — the former Original Patti, and before that Romacelli — and how a locally owned Cajun restaurant became its next chapter.
